The Location

This is a view of the actual site at Mitchell where the Interfaith Airport Meditation Room will be built. It is located adjacent to the East end of the parking structure and the 3 North Skywalk.

The Exterior

The firm of Plunkett Raysich was selected for their architectural design. The outer wall features a central panel of glass tiles in various shades of blue.

The Interior

The interior will feature traditional elements consisting
of six stained-glass windows and cabinets of hand
carved wood originally from the Black Forest of
Germany. These items are artifacts taken from the old
St. Stephen's, formerly known as “the little church by
the airport.”

Donor Board Bird Sculpture

The sculpture board will be made of frosted sea-mist glass with soaring stainless steel birds.  Donations can be made in memory of a loved one or to commemorate a special occasion.  Any individual, family, corporation, organization or faith community making a donation in one of these three categories of $1000, $2500, $5000 or more will have their engraved name plate posted on the donor board.
